CPIA Formia
The Provincial Center for Adult Education n. 10 of Lazio, hereinafter CPIA, develops in the south of Latina on four different municipalities: Formia, which is also the registered office, Terracina, Fondi and Minturno. The socio-cultural-economic context of the reference is characterized by a high percentage of foreigners, who come mainly from the countries of North Africa and Southern Asia, by a percentage increase in political refugees, by an increase in the population also thanks to the incidence of families from EU and no-EU countries, with diversified traditions, languages and religions, from rural realities in the northernmost branches of the CPIA and from realities connected to the service sector in the southernmost seats of the CPIA. The training courses proposed by our institute, to which almost a thousand users are enrolled, divided into the four operational offices, concern the first literacy and reliteracy of foreign students, the courses for the acquisition of the secondary school diploma and for the achievement of the certification after the two years of secondary school. For these institutional courses, as a result of the reception phase, a training agreement is drawn up indicating the hours of attendance to be carried out by the students and the training credit hours assigned by the appropriate Commission, taking into account previous learning in a formal context, not formal and informal: in this regard, the CPIA 10 is making itself the promoter of research, in collaboration with Roma 3 University and with the other CPIAs of the region, aimed at the realization and standardization of shared tools for the collection of credits and for the creation of a student portfolio.
